San Francisco's favorite Son- San Quinn - returns with brand new solo Album Fans have been waiting for the Bay Area’s most prolific artist, San Quinn, to release his highly anticipated solo album, From A Boy To A Man, they can now rest easy, the time has finally come.

From A Boy To A Man is the follow up album from Quinn’s 2006 release, The Rock-Pressure Makes Diamonds, his first solo album on SMC Recordings. Quinn continues his partnership with SMC as he prepares to release From A Boy To A Man August 2009.

San Quinn was born in Oakland, CA and raised in San Francisco’s Filmore District, an area that has produced many Hip Hop legends such as Rappin 4-Tay, JT the Bigga Figga, Messy Marv, and Andre Nickatina (AKA Dre Dog) just to name a few. Quinn never forgetting his roots, enlists fellow Bay Area artists, Too Short, Mistah F.A.B. & PSD, along with Tech N9ne, Glasses Malone and Killer MIke for some explosive collaborations on From A Boy To A Man. A special appearance is also made by Quinn’s 10 year old son, Lil’ Quinn on the track “Billionaire”. This is not his first time on a San Quinn album, but his proud papa explains that his son’s lyrics, style and flow have matured quite a bit since his first time out, which was on Quinn’s compilation album, The Color of Money. As he has on previous releases, Quinn recruits longtime production partner Cozmo (Scarface) to handle most of the beats on the album, rounding out the rest of the producers are CHOPS (Bun B), Tha Bizness (50 Cent, Ice Cube), Traxxamillion, Dex Beats and Sean T.

San Quinn explains that this album is very personal. The title track, "From A Boy To A Man" is a true story that Quinn tells about drugs and though the record might offend some rappers, he feels the truth is more important. “Stay With Me” is a song Quinn wrote to his wife, asking her to stay with him after he violated their relationship. "San Quinn is the heart of San Francisco's hip-hop scene," explains Will Bronson (SMC's co-founder). "So he went in and gave them what they wanted- that honesty, that flow and the voice of a god. The dopest thing is, when we approached producers about doing the album,
they we're just as excited as us and you can hear it in the songs." This album has given Quinn the chance to tell his fans the story of his life and though some of it might be negative, he feels that he was able to shine something positive on each track and give his fans the good music they deserve to hear.

When Antwan “Twansac” Richardson hit the music scene in fall 2002, neither the critics nor fans, had fully understood the entrepreneurial vision that Twansac himself had projected. Twansac started performing underground in 1999, by winning local and regional talent shows. Twansac has developed a solid underground and mainstream audience over other local and regional rappers. In the short span of five years, this certified entrepreneur has demonstrated an ability to produce and compose break-through music that captured the attention of young consumers using innovative marketing programs targeting today’s youth.

In September 2002, Twansac approached the radio with his first hit “Cadillac Love”, followed by the catchy single “Do the Damn Thing.” Cadillac Love being the first single released from the album “Ghetto Scholar”, gained national attention by receiving significant radio play throughout the Midwest, earning the “top spot” and eventually becoming the most requested for each station.

The “Unsigned Hype” has attracted attention from major labels such as Universal, MCA and Def Jam Records. Since that time the rapper has been on tour and Headlined with artists like DMX, Ludacris, Fabolous, Bow Wow, 3 6 Mafia, Neyo, Chris Brown, Chamillionaire, Lil Flip, Ying Yang Twins, DJ Quick, Bone Thugs, Oowee, NB Riders, Lil Rob, Ebony Eyes,B2K, Petey Pablo, Cassidy, and Tech N9NE just to name a few.

Twansac also has three mixtapes that have helped brand his name and his music. Despite the commercial saturation of Hip-Hop, Twansac captivates the people through his innovative music and still manages to maintain a genuine connection to the streets.

“The Ghetto Scholar wasn’t just an album to me,” ‘It’s deeper than that.’ This album tells the story of my life and the struggles I had to overcome to survive in the streets. I thank God everyday for letting me grow up where I did. My block made my blood thick… thick with hustle. Now I have the mainstream education to match it.”
-Antwan “Twansac” Richardson

Having sold nearly 30,000 records and mixtapes, Twansac is poised and ready to take the industry by storm! In 2008, Twansac plans to deliver yet another highly anticipated LP following his debut single Entitled “Im a Boss” Ghetto Scholar Chapter II. This album includes Hit singles “2 Step,” “How Ya Feel” and the Smashing single “She In The Mood”. Get ready for another busy year!

EVENODDS

EVENODDS is a San Francisco based rap group formed by rap artists M-A and D.E.O.  M-A (born March 6, 1985), which stands for “Money Alwayz”, and D.E.O. (born February 28, 1985), which stands for D.oing E.verything O.fficial”, have been rapping together since middle school.  However, they did not officially start recording tracks until their freshman year of high school.

Both M-A and D.E.O. started a relationship with music at a very early age.  M-A was born into music due to his father being a musician and D.E.O. wrote his very 1st verse at the tender age of nine.  With heavy musical influences from artists such as: San Quinn, RBL, Tupac, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, Run DMC, NWA, Charlie Parker, Marvin Gaye, Con Funkshun, OutKast, Snoop Dogg, Notorious B.I.G., Duke Ellington, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Jay-Z, Ice-T, Spice 1, Too Short and many others, they’ve credited their distinct sound to each other, street life, everything real, the Bay Area’s cultural influence and are proud to represent their own.

EVENODDS’ music can best be described as “fly gangsta s***” and “reality rap”.  Both M-A and D.E.O. describe their music as real, authentic music, the kind that gives you food for thought and stays true to the original hip-hop form with style.  EVENODDS arose from the gangsta rap movement of the late 1990s and keeps their music strictly street and in its rarest form.

Hailing from San Francisco Fillmore and Geneva Tower Projects, both M-A and D.E.O. formed a dynamic duo.  M-A’s brother served as the neighborhood producer and linked the two together.  They both discovered that they had a mutual ambition to become rappers.

The most important element about EVENODDS is that they display great entrepreneurialism and leadership.  As CEOs/Owners of Official Bizness Entertainment, they both take music very seriously and have since recorded and produced for Damien Marley, Big Rich (Koch/Street Cred Music), Too Short (Up All Nite/Jive), San Quinn (SMC/Fontana), MOB Figaz, Dubee, PSD, Mac Mall, Star Studded, DJ Juice, DJ Mind Motion, DJ Kay Slay, Dem Hoodstarz and Mistah FAB.

EVENODDS emergence into the hip-hop scene has come at a crucial point in music history.  Considered outcasts in the Bay Area because they’ve always marched to the beat of their own drum, EVENODDS are at the tipping point of their career.  The music industry has been waiting for EVENODDS to emerge and soon they will be on the list with other influential artists in hip-hop and a group recognized for their individuality and artistic style.
